A rainbow promises to lead us to a better day after a storm. In a similar manner, a story can lead us past the everyday storms of life, into the warm security of a whole world of characters who entertain us, teach us and touch us in ways we never expected. We can travel in an instant to colorful places, stopping to visit people in places we've never been to before as we journey into the future or the past-
We can be entertained by the same stories people enjoyed hundreds of years ago-We hear stories from cultures that we thought were unlike ours to find that people around the world have values much like our own. They like to see good win over evil, the underdog prevail by outwitting a less worthy opponent, and yes, love can persevere to conquer all.
So come with me to places where magical things happen. We will not only view the beauty of a rainbow, we will fly up to it and ride its colors till we find the gold at its end!
